John Singleton – Executive Director John has 20 years experience working in both public and private education and school administration. John graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education where he also received a fellowship for his Master’s Degree in Education. Additionally, he completed his public school administration certification at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he also started postgraduate studies in Educational Leadership. He is currently in his second year of his doctorate in education. John’s background includes an integral role in the establishment and implementation of two award-winning alternative schools for at-risk youth in Gaston and Haywood Counties in North Carolina. Before coming to Cedars, John was the Program Director of Stone Mountain School and part of the management team which opened New Leaf Academy of North Carolina. |

Tara Drayton – Operations Director Tara graduated from Wilmington College with her MS in Human Resources Management, her BS in Business Management, and from Delaware Tech with her Associates in Business Administration Marketing/Management. Tara started at Cedars Academy in October 2006. Tara says her job is definitely challenging, however she enjoys the challenge of working with numbers and people and she finds this position very rewarding. |

Dottie Lank – Admissions Director Dottie graduated from Del State University with her BSW in May of 2004. She truly enjoys meeting new people and being able to bring some type of guidance to them. Whenever she gets a chance, she is out of her office and outside with the kids. Dottie says, "It's awesome to be able to see the changes that we are making in our students lives!" |
